Six versions of the composition 'Density 21.5' for flute solo by Edgard Varèse were produced by Klaus Ebbeke on a Synclavier II and a Hofschneider synthesizer. They were played in the spaces of Galerie Giannozzo in Berlin over different groups of loudspeakers. For the audio cassette a total recording was mixed in the studio that corresponds to the time arrangment of the versions in the sound installation.
