The fishes in the aquarium of the Göttingen discotheque Savoy have
to be moved to another place following a court decision. The
Göttingen department of veterinary affairs and consumer protection
had forbidden the owners of the discotheque from keeping fishes in their
rooms. The owners sued against this interdiction.
In the opinion of its decision the court referred to a scientific expert
opinion. In that one is noticed "that fishes sustain damages of their hearing,
bladder, and even of their liver, when kept in considerable noise".
